Brings Hope to Students at SAMAGS Njinikom: A Call for Support In the heart of Cameroon’s conflict-affected West Region lies SAMAGS Njinikom, a Catholic school striving to provide quality education amidst numerous challenges. The impact of war has left the school’s students and staff grappling with harsh conditions, but their resilience and determination to learn remain unwavering. During our recent visit to SAMAGS Njinikom, we at Gorphan Inc. witnessed firsthand the struggles these students face daily. One of their most pressing concerns was the lack of access to clean, running water. Without a proper water supply, students struggle to stay hydrated and maintain hygiene, and the school’s plants, which provide a serene and nourishing environment, suffer as well. Understanding the urgency of this need, Gorphan Inc. provided temporary relief in the form of water storage cans, ensuring the students have access to drinking water as we work on securing a sustainable solution. Beyond basic necessities, we believe that play and recreation are crucial aspects of a child’s development. To bring some joy into their daily routine, we also donated a football, which will enable students to engage in inter-class competitions, fostering teamwork, discipline, and resilience. Additionally, we provided watering cans to help maintain the school’s greenery, ensuring that the environment remains welcoming and conducive to learning. However, our efforts are just the beginning. A long-term solution for clean, pipe-borne water is urgently needed. With adequate funding, we can construct a reliable water system that will serve the school for years to come, transforming the lives of these students and their community.
